JOHN HEATH

John Heath has built a long-standing reputation in the group health insurance field since his start in 1974 and led the Lone Star Benefits team as President until 2021, at which time he sold the agency to Heather Bowers. His primary focus is on cost-efficient benefit design and funding of group medical, dental, disability and life insurance programs for employer groups. He also takes pride in assisting individual clients with health, life and disability insurance needs. John has a vast array of experience in the employee benefits field, having served hundreds of employer groups through the decades.

HEATHER BOWERS

Heather Bowers joined the Lone Star Benefits team in 2000 and assumed the role of President in 2021. She enjoys working with small to mid-size employers located throughout the country on their employee benefit programs. Heather’s devotion to her clients is evident in the service level that she provides to them and her clients frequently praise her for her easy accessibility when they need her. In serving her clients, Heather spends much focus on creative plan design and strategies to help control health care costs. She considers this an essential part of her role as their health insurance agent and strategist.

HOLLY SECHREST

Holly Sechrest is an independent group health insurance agent and specialist at Lone Star Benefits. She became a licensed agent in 2005, after getting her feet wet first in customer service. Holly worked her way up to Principal of Lone Star Benefits in 2012. Holly has a passion for helping small and mid-sized business owners navigate through the health insurance marketplace.
